If you’ve been using Hospet on the web or have just been waiting for a mobile version, I’d be incredibly grateful if you took a moment to download the app and leave a rating or review. Early support like this makes a big difference in helping more pet owners discover the tool.
For Android users, a version is currently in development. It’s still early in the process, so I don’t have an ETA just yet — but I’ll be sure to keep you posted. For now you can install Hospet to your phone as a Progressive Web App (PWA) which will give you an app-like experience. You can learn more about this here.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or run into any issues, feel free to reach out at support@hospet.app. I’d love to hear from you.

🔧 Other Recent Updates:
- Mobile Web Improvements: A mountain of small styling tweaks were made to improve how Hospet looks and feels on mobile browsers.
- Quick Access Events Panel: When you create a new pet, the Events “Quick Access” panel will now include a few helpful defaults to get you started. You can still fully customize this to fit your needs.
- Assessment Editing Fixes: Fixed several issues that affected editing previously submitted Quality of Life Assessments.
- Provider Import Link Update: The URL for importing providers into a support team has been updated to support smoother mobile app integration. (Your existing links still work, but if you’ve printed out the provider flyer, I recommend grabbing a fresh copy.)
Thanks again for being part of the journey. Launching on iOS is a big step, and your support — whether through a download, a rating, or just sharing the news — truly means the world.
Sincerely,

Improvements
- You can now download event logs and save them as a PDF or email them to your support team
- The events quick access panel, in the "About *PET*" block on the pet's dashboard, has been renamed from "Events" to "Quick Access" to make it more clear as to its purpose. As a reminder you can edit your pet's settings and mark events for "Quick Access" to make it easier for logging those events that you intend to log on a regular basis.
- Added the "End of Life Care Plan" tab to the bottom of the pet's dashboard so that it is easier to find/review/edit
- End-of-Life Care Plans and Assessments have had their PDF generation capabilities updated to improve their overall look and styling
- When emailing your support team, the email is now styled to help bring attention to any message you choose to include
- Added the following question to the end of life plan: "In the event you are no longer able to care for *PET*, who should take over, and are there specific wishes you would want them to follow?"
- Added a "Heart Rate" event type for logging of your pet's heart rate.
Bug Fixes
- Moved the "Custom Event Types" menu item to maintain the alphabetical ordering we have there
- Fixed typos in the end-of-life support plan PDF generation scripting
- Removed duplicate questions from the "Household" section of the Quality of Life Assessments.
- Fixed a small bug causing the event stats to not calculate correctly in some edge cases

Introducing our new Events Feature
New
Happy Monday Everyone!
Today’s release brings one of our most-requested, and largest features to date: Events. I’m really excited to share this one with you—it’s designed to help fill in the gaps between daily ratings and full assessments, giving you a clearer picture of what’s changing in your pet’s day-to-day life.
As always, thank you for being part of the Hospet community. I’m here to listen, so feel free to email me anytime at support@hospet.app with your feedback, questions, or ideas.

So what are Events?
Events let you track meaningful moments and changes in your pet’s daily life—like appetite shifts, behavior changes, mobility challenges, hygiene routines, medical symptoms, emotional patterns, or even things like weather impact or changes to your daily routine.
With over 90+ built-in event types, each carefully curated by Dr. Kendra, Events are designed to capture the details that matter—both from a tracking perspective and a medical one. And if something unique matters to your pet? You can create custom event types for that, too.
Use Events to:
- Spot patterns in symptoms or routines
- Stay on top of new or recurring health concerns
- Track Signature Traits over time
- Capture the quiet details that often matter most
This feature was built to help you notice early changes, stay proactive, and feel more supported in the decisions you make for your pet.
To start tracking, head to your pet’s profile and open the new Events tab.

Introducing Annotations
We’re excited to introduce Annotations, a new feature designed to help you track key events in your pet’s health journey. Now, you can add notes directly to your Quality of Life, Daily Ratings, and Weight graphs, making it easier to see how specific changes impact your pet over time.
Use annotations to log:
- Medication changes – Track how new treatments affect your pet.
- Diet adjustments – See if a food switch improves appetite or energy.
- Medical events – Monitor recovery after a vet visit or surgery.
- Activity levels – Keep an eye on progress with therapy or exercise.
With annotations, your graphs will tell a more complete story, helping you make more informed care decisions. To add an annotation, visit your pet’s profile, navigate to annotations tab located at the bottom of your pet’s profile, and create your first annotation.
Change Log for the week of 3/7/25
- Made a variety of changes to the graphs designed to make them more usable on mobile and small devices as well as adding additional functionality such as pinch to zoom (or drag horizontally on desktop to zom)
- Fixed an issue causing tables with no rows in them to appear rather than the empty row message
- Fixed a styling issue with the assessments table that caused the help icons to break to a new line
- Fixed a bug causing the billing tab under the profile navigation to not appear
- Added caching throughout the application which should result in it being speedier.
- Fixed a bug causing the daily ratings chart to appear after you've added your first rating
- Improved the mobile styling in various places throughout the application
- Assessments on mobile should be more usable now
- The daily rating calendar on mobile shouldn't take up as much space now and be a little more user friendly.
- Added PWA (Progressive Web App) functionality to the site. This is a temporary stop gap measure while we work on dedicated IOS and Android apps. You can learn more about PWAs and how to install Hospet as an app at the following link
Thanks again for all your support!

A Heartfelt Thanks (and a few updates)
Update
First, Thank You!
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support we’ve received since launching Hospet. Seeing so many people embrace this tool has been incredibly humbling. As a pet loss doula and the husband of a palliative care veterinarian, I’ve witnessed firsthand how difficult and challenging end-of-life care decisions can be. We pour our love into our pets, yet when their health declines, we’re often left navigating uncertainty, trying to balance what’s best for them while managing our own needs. Hospet was born from a deep desire to help. We wanted to create a tool that empowers pet owners with clear, data-driven insights into their pet’s well-being—offering not just a way to track quality of life, but a source of clarity and confidence, and hopefully, a small bit of peace.

Changelog for 2/28/25
- Fixed an issue that was causing the page to scroll to the top before rendering a modal (such as when clicking a ?) icon. The modals are now centered as they should have been.
- Added help icons (?) for each category on the assessment listing view at the bottom of a pet's dashboard. The text for each of those are still a work in progress.
- Fixed a centering issue on the "Add Pet" card when not on a premium account.
- Added the ability to log into and create your Hospet account via Google (Facebook and other social media platforms will be added soon). You can manage these connections by clicking on the "Third-Party Logins" in the user navigation menu (located under your profile picture)
- Added a download link for the end-of-life care plans, similar to that of the assessments
- Fixed a few miscellaneous issues with the mobile layout on the pet dashboard page.
- Added the ability to search help desk articles from within Hospet. You'll now find a "Help" icon in the lower right-hand corner that will make it easier to find help articles or email support.
- Added a feature request portal so that you guys can easily request new features. If there is something you'd like to see please request it as that helps me better prioritize development features.
